The Seedling Philosophy

Start small, take your time, let the process run its natural course.

Handmade jewelry is so much more than the final product. When you support an artist, you support an individual and their journey as a whole: thoughtful introspection, hard-earned skill, and a commitment to enriching the world one creation at a time. Each piece in the Seedling Jewelry Co. collection is the culmination of creative exploration and self expression.

Making art is a labor of love; sharing it connects you to the world.

Meet the Maker…

Hello - I’m Jamie, the maker behind Seedling Jewelry Co! I am originally from northern Utah, and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, the birthplace of Seedling Jewelry Co., in the fall of 2019 to pursue a doctorate degree in particle physics. After a few years of graduate coursework and fruitful engagement with the FoCo art scene, I followed my studies to Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory near Chicago in the fall of 2023. Here, I still enjoy complimenting my pursuit of fundamental science with a healthy dose of jewelry makin'!

When not studying or making jewelry, you can find me galavanting in Nature, exploring Chicago, dancing at shows/friends’ houses/the pole studio, or dabbling with film photography. (This is a reasonable number of hobbies, right?? :/ ) Inspiration for my jewelry pulls from a wide variety of sources, ranging from color palettes found in my favorite landscapes to abstract forms thought up while conducting research on theoretical particle physics. The aesthetic of my jewelry is ever-evolving - just like me!

I am grateful for the opportunity beading gives me to reinterpret the things that inspire me most into a tactile, wearable art form. This medium epitomizes slow fashion, and I am touched to see others don my art in their own expressions of self.
