Santa Fe Dangles
This April work took me a on back-to-back trips in some wonderful places: Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Abruzzo region of Italy! It’s become a little tradition of mine to scout out local bead shops when I visit new cities. I was lucky to sneak in an errand to a wonderful shop in the Santa Fe plaza after the conference and before my flight, and two weeks later I found myself making earrings with the Santa Fe-accquired beads on top of a castle in Italy! These earrings are the result: big bone beads with glass bead tassels. The blue pinstripes give a folk-y look to the playful design.
Artist’s tip: pairs well with denim and/or overalls.
Findings are stainless steel hooks, as pictured.
